Welcome Reviewers of the Clare Eagles Demonstration Web Site!
~
Your help is needed and appreciated.

This web site prototype is in Testing Phase as we work out the bugs of the system. It is important to know how things look and work from several peoples perspective because everyone’s computers, ISP, connection speed, and browsers are different and what works on one system does not always work on another. To help you review this site, here is an overview of what we are doing.
~
Purpose of the Web Site:
The site is intended to provide Ongoing Communications between the Club and its Members, as well as the Public, in order to increase
Awareness of Club Services and Attendance at Club Activities.
The intended result of increased awareness and attendance is ultimately an increase in revenues generated. We may be a Club, but at the core we are also a Business, and working to increase our cash flow is just good business practice. This is how any organization grows in order to provide more Member Benefits and Community Service.
Organization of the Web Site:
The Web Site is made up of two parts:
- The Public Section of the Web Site is located at http://eagles3977.myareabargains.com. This address must be used exactly as given without the normal “www” as the site is set up as a sub-domain for the moment. When we go live we will get our own domain, probably www.eagles3977.org. Click here to visit (opens a new window).
- The Members Only Section of the Web Site is located at http://eagles3977blog.myareabargains.com. Again, this section is a sub-domain, and is the address you are currently on. This section is set up as a Blog (using WordPress), with password protected pages for member and officer communications.

Blog Reviewers
WordPress is a nice blogging platform and is widely used, but it has some odd quirks and not much useful support. Here is how you can help:
1. Visit the Pages listed on the Right Sidebar. Do you get to the Page you expected?
2. When a Password is requested, use the word “new“. Do you have to use it for each password protected Page, or do you only have to enter it once?
3. After using the Password, exit the Blog. When you re-enter, do you have to use your Password again or do you automatically gain access to protected pages?
4. Try making a Post from the “New Posts Are Here” page and one or two of the other protected pages. How did this work for you? Did any Page not accept a post?
5. Try making a Comment to any Post you might see. How did this work for you?
6. When trying to make a Post or Comment, are you asked to give any information, such as name or email, or are you simply allowed to post?
7. Under Administration, click on “Admin” and “Log In” and tell me what happens.
